A new executive leadership team has been appointed including of a number of highly experienced individuals including David Whitmore, CEO and Alison Wilford CFO. In May 2018 Slater and Gordon announced plans to invest £30m in technology and digitising legal services in a move to strengthen its position as the UK’s number one provider of consumer law expertise and increase people’s access to justice.

 

Role responsibilities

  • Supporting in the provision of timely and accurate monthly reporting with insight, KPIs and variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Supporting in the creation of Budget and Forecast data and models
  • Supporting in the provision of insight and analytics to support commercial decision making
  • Project Accounting including Forecasting, Spend Tracking (including quantitative and qualitative metrics)
  • Support in creation of business cases for proposed new strategies and projects
  • Support in the creation of new processes and reports
  • Improving governance and control around financial reviews and decision making relating to spend
  • Supporting Shared Service areas on detailed analysis
  • Ad hoc exercises where analysis of large datasets and a commercial mindset is required
  • Supporting in the implementation of IFRS16 and the ongoing tracking of associated lease accounting

 

Experience and competencies required for the role

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in shared services desirable
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Experience in reporting and tracking performance across a number of metrics
  • Experience with IFRS16 desirable
