Do you have experience of dealing with fixed costs? Are you currently working at an external Costs firm looking to make the move in-house?

Slater Gordon Group is a leading consumer law firm and our mission is to give people easier access to world class legal services. The firm provides specialist legal and complementary services in a broad range of areas and our clients are the centre of it all.

Due to ongoing expansion we are recruiting for an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join our specialist legal costs consultancy division, Compass Costs Solutions working within our costs offices based in Manchester. You will have solid experience of managing all aspects of costs from start to finish, negotiating and prepare costs schedules.

Other duties to include:

Preparation of points of dispute and evaluation of replies.

·Preparing points of dispute and considering replies.

·Reviewing files to identify strengths and weaknesses.

·Preparing cost strategy document to reflect this.

·Dealing with correspondence and telephone calls.

·Undertaking periodic reviews of files in line with Client requirements.

·Undertaking periodic reviews of files in line with internal and Client requirements.

·Settling files and recording all necessary MI.

·Updating internal reports as required with settlement data.

·Meeting agreed performance targets.

·Providing direct advice to large client.

·Daily interaction with large client.

·To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011.
