The Software / Application Development Team Manager

You will manage a team responsible for the development and maintenance of specific modules within the ERP application and related software products. You will collaborate with R&D, software support, product management, software development and aftersales department heads to provide technical expertise and guidance with projects.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

• Provide daily management of Development Team members, providing guidance, assistance and support as required.
• Effective project management, organisation and planning skills.
• Team management and performance analysis through KPI setting and monitoring
• Previously managed or supervised reports in different locations and countries
• Previous accountability for version control, compliance and quality of specific software products or modules within a product.
• A good understanding of Scrum based Agile methodology and processes.
• Skills using Microsoft Office products to I/ECDL standards.
• Some Project Management experience using methodologies such as Prince2.
• Knowledge of CVS, SourceSafe or other software version control tools.
• Technical Development skills in at least one of the following languages VB, C#, C++, Java, .net.
• Experience of Object Oriented Design and the use of modern database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• A working knowledge of current operating systems (UNIX, LINUX, MS Windows etc.)
