Keyloop have recently acquired, Leeds based business EnquiryMax. They supply software solutions to automotive OEMs and dealership in the UK and Ireland. A superb opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Software Tester to join the successful Automotive Software Development Company.

 

About the role:

Our client are looking for a talented QA Software Tester, ideally based in commutable distance from their Leeds City centre office, to join them and help them maintain consistent quality on software projects delivered in the automotive sector.

As a Software Tester, you would be responsible for working across the entire organisation to build and maintain test assets and recommend enhancements to current test frameworks required to ensure the quality of the company’s core application and technologies. You must have a passion for helping to ensure that the business can deliver exceptional quality for the applications that their customers use on a daily basis.

 

You will be responsible for:

• Acting as guardian of software quality. Ensuring product feature releases are delivered to the business’ customers 100% correct the first time.
• Working with cross functional teams to ensure that the enquiryMAX products meet and maintains a high level of quality through building and leveraging testing tools, frameworks, and tests.
• Producing well written test plans to clearly articulate each project’s testing approach.
• Reviewing product business and technical specs with the ability to provide feedback
• Collaborating with developers to ensure the product meets functional, quality, performance, scalability, privacy, and security specifications through tools, automation, and breakthrough test technologies.
• Continually driving and mentoring all of technology to align with the enquiryMAX Development Guiding Principles.
• Sharing knowledge with other Test and Software Engineers to drive the most effective test strategies possible.
• Positively contributing to the culture, well-being, and growth of each team member and the company at large by being a helpful and considerate team member and by adhering to core values.

 

What we are looking for: 

The ideal candidate must have at least three years’ commercial experience and working towards the below skills and competency:

• Demonstrated track record in successfully delivering complex testing solutions across multiple Projects and Functions to achieve business outcomes.
• Implementation and facilitation of non-functional test techniques and test automation frameworks.
• Working towards leading a Quality Assurance Test Function and implementing an organisational test strategy.
• Professional experience in conducting performance tests (both load and stress tests) as well as the ability to identify, build and maintain test data sets and benchmarking results.
• Experience in analysing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
• Experience producing test plans and test reports for consumption by multiple stakeholders and non-technical parties.
• Experience in constructing basic SQL statements is a must
• Demonstrated self-motivation to work independently as well as part of a Development Team.
• At least have the ITSQB Foundation qualification and working towards higher level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desirable experience which would put you in a strong position include:

• Ability to write code for test automation solutions or building testing software with tools that include C#, Web Driver, ASP.NET, SQL is a very strong plus
• Exposure to browser automation tools such as Selenium
• Exposure to Azure and/or other cloud platforms are a strong plus
• Incident support and resolution using JIRA
• Experience in the car retail sector or web development
