All Aboard Project Coordinator

£25000 pro-rata, per annum - up to 20 hours per week

Fixed term contract until 31st March 2022

We are The Rose Road Association a Registered Charity providing essential Care and support Services in Southampton. We are passionate about supporting children and adults with, Learning, disabilities, Physical disabilities and /or Autism. 

We are seeking a self-motivated and dynamic person to Coordinate our All Aboard Project. The project will work towards breaking down barriers for disabled rail users and building their confidence to make travel decisions that include rail journeys. Activities will include:

• Research and mapping of accessible rail destinations
• The creation, updating and distribution of easy to read user guides and mapping
•  Recruiting voluntary “Travel Ambassadors” and their families to test journeys, stations and destinations
• Engaging with schools, day services, care homes and colleges to distribute All Aboard Board Games and Sensory Sacks
• Producing a project Impact Report
