Weekend Support Worker – Disabled children and adults - Southampton - £9.00 - £9.46 per hour – 10.5 hours a week

We are The Rose Road Association a Registered Charity providing essential Care and support Services in Southampton. We are passionate about supporting children and adults with, Learning, disabilities, Physical disabilities and /or Autism.  We are seeking to recruit a Great Support Worker, someone with the right values and attitudes to work in our Overnight Respite facility in Southampton – could this be you?

We require someone to work weekends. All hours completed at a weekend would be paid at the enhanced rate of £9.46, hours completed outside of the weekend are paid at £9 per hour. The contract would be for 10.5 hours a week averaged over the month, and you would work 2 out of 3 weekends.

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications as we are happy to work with you to develop your competence in the role and increase your confidence in the work that we do.

The children and adults we support are individuals and therefore no two days are the same, as a general guide, duties will include, support with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, feeding, medication, as well as help to take part in a wide range of interests and activities that support wellbeing and independence, such as sensory, swimming, baking, crafts, movies and much more depending on what people choose.
