‘Are you looking for a job where you can make a real difference?’

Outreach Worker –  £10 - £10.25 per hour

We are The Rose Road Association, a Registered Charity providing essential care and support services in Southampton. We are looking to grow our team of people who support our children and young adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. We are proud and passionate about making a difference to families across Hampshire, and we are looking for someone who shares our values to help improve the lives of others. You can find out more about us at www.roseroad.org.uk

You don’t need to have previous experience in this type of work, and you don’t need any particular qualifications, as we will provide all the necessary training to develop you to your full potential.

This important role provides support to our children and young adults at home and in the community to enable well-being and independence.

Because the children and adults that we support are individuals, no two days are the same. One day you might be needed to assist with personal care at home  (washing, dressing and feeding) while on other days, you could be taking part in fun leisure activities like going to the cinema, bowling, eating out, soft play, swimming, whatever our young people choose. It’s a really varied job that is hugely rewarding and makes a positive difference to the lives of local young people.

You’ll need to be at least 18 years old & hold a full, clean UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle.

A range of hours are available including before and after school, during the day, evenings and weekends.  We recognise that your down time is important to you, so you’ll only be expected to work two weekends out of every four, or every Saturday or Sunday. We pay premium rates for any hours worked after 9pm or at weekends.

So, if you are someone who shares in our values, is committed to Quality and Standards, is Person Centred and committed to helping others, and believes in Teamwork, Trust and Respect, then we would love to hear from you.

Want to find out more? Apply at via the link below.

Alongside this fulfilling role we offer:

  • Travel time paid between calls
  • Pension scheme
  • High quality training
  • Employee discount scheme
  • Free Employee Assistance and Wellbeing programme with 24/7 cover

This is an open application process so Interviews will be arranged within a few weeks of receiving your application. It is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group (i.e., adults at risk, children or both).

The Rose Road Association supports vulnerable children, young people and their families and therefore strongly encourages staff to have had both Coronavirus vaccines and any available boosters unless medically exempt from the vaccination programme, however it is not currently a requirement for the role.
