We are looking for a person centred, driven individual to come and join the fundraising team, as a Senior Fundraising Manager at The Rose Road Association, a Registered Charity providing essential Care and Support Services in Southampton.

We are passionate about supporting children and adults with, Learning disabilities, Physical disabilities and /or Autism and our fundraising team plays a VITAL part in continuing what we do.

What we do:

We are The Rose Road Association a Registered Charity providing essential Care and support Services in Southampton. We are passionate about supporting children and adults with, Learning, disabilities, Physical disabilities and /or Autism.  We are seeking to recruit a Great Support Worker, someone with the right values and attitudes to work in our Overnight Respite facility in Southampton 

The role:

The Fundraising Manager will oversee our communications and events functions to help us achieve our ambitious fundraising target using strategy and creativity! You will be responsible for managing two fundraising officer roles to deliver our diverse events portfolio and growing digital campaigns.

  • To provide strong and effective line management to our Communications and Events functions.
  • Coordinating stewardship of our donors and supporters, thanking them in a timely fashion and keeping them abreast of developments at Rose Road and the impact of their support.
  • You will oversee and approve content for our digital campaigns including online raffles, lottery, regular giver, and legacy giving campaigns.
  • You will support the team to deliver our ambitious portfolio of events, including sponsored events, community, corporate and trust/ major donor stewardship events. This will include working to meet agreed finance and engagement targets and ensuring excellent attendee/ customer experience.
  • You will supervise staff to attend social groups and events, presenting the work of the Association, and sharing families’ stories.
  • Managing and collaborating with your team in order to generate positive outcomes and hit departmental income targets.
  • Attendance and management of some events at weekends and in evenings.

The Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing and supervising junior staff
  • Strong/working knowledge of marketing practices and principles in the charity sector or elsewhere
  • Experience of communicating with audiences across a range of seniority and sectors
  • Ability to plan effectively to meet deadlines and manage a variety of projects.
  • Highly articulate with strong written, verbal and
  • presentation skills.
  • Experience of providing reports to monitor engagement
  • and/or income
  • Good interpersonal skills in relation to communicating effectively with the public, partner organisations, clients and the team.
  • Able to maintain relationships and build new ones with a range of audiences
  • Be able to work on own initiative whilst remaining an effective team player.
  • Maintain a flexible approach.
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office and fundraising database.
