Conference and Event Organiser – Lutterworth (LE17) – £27,000 - £31,000 per annum DOE. 

Millbrook Medical Conferences are looking for a Conference and Event Organiser to join their dynamic team based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

Do you have experience in a Conference and/or Event Management or Organising role or hold a qualification in Event Management and looking for a role to expand your skills?

Do you have exceptional communication skills as well as written and administration skills and looking to utilise these in a fast -paced Event and Conference Management role?

Are you excited by the thought of managing multiple events or conferences from beginning to end?

If so, this is the role for you!

The role of Conference Organiser and Event Organiser is to successfully represent Millbrook Medical Conferences Ltd to clients and delegates, and to be responsible for the successful planning and running of events, ensuring that client and delegate satisfaction is maximised. The Conference Organiser is responsible for the independent organisation of medical educational conferences and events and provides support to the Executive Conference Managers on occasion.

The Role:

  • Administrative Support including telephone communication, processing online registrations, emailing and handling the website queries.
  • The successful organisation of conferences and events on behalf of the medical sector, working within the conduct of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry and MedTech Group.
  • Taking full responsibility for the comprehensive conference organisation including; the client, the venue, audio visual equipment / technical support, the sponsors, marketing alongside the marketing manager, the faculty, the finances and post event communications.
  • Attending regular team meetings to provide updates and discuss any issues.
  • Assisting the Managing Director and the Marketing Manager

Requirements:

  • A relevant Event and/or Conference management qualification is ideal.
  • Experience working within an Event and/or Conference Management/organising role is necessary.
  • Strong IT skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Strong administrative background
  • An understanding of venue contracts and possess he necessary skills to negotiate with decision makers.
  • A valid UK driving license is preferred to ensure attendance to a conferences across the UK, these will include overnight stays and occasional overseas travel.
