3x Plumbers – Glasgow Area

The Dyno franchise in Scotland needed 3 new qualified plumbers after a few staff left all at the same time leaving them in a spot of bother as they are very busy. This meant they needed to fill the roles quickly with experienced candidates. Dyno has high standards for its plumbers due to the British Gas relationship so huge importance is placed on customer service and background checks for anyone who joins the business. All Plumbers needed to be a minimum of level 3 qualified, have a full driving licence and at least 1 year+ domestic plumbing experience in a similar type of role as they would be on the road on their own. The salary for these roles was £24k + Bonus + Call Out etc (OTE of £35k).

Dyno franchises have no internal recruitment support so we needed to manage the whole process for these roles which included taking the brief, attracting candidates using an SEO advert & CV Database searching, engaging them with the role and business during a telephone screen, assessing them using competency based telephone interview and then moving them through the background check process so they can be hired. We worked with the Ops Director for the franchise to present a  short list of suitable people after we had spoken to the candidates and felt they would be suitable. We presented 8 suitable candidates through the campaign and 3 plumbers were hired.

The work involved in this process and outcomes were as follows:
