We are looking for a back-end web developer with strong programming, software development or web development skills. This is an entry level web developer role so you will be early in your web developer career or a recent graduate who is looking to join a global award-winning company, a true leader in its field, that really invests in your training and future.

Let’s tell you a bit more about the role…

• Using Java, you will be developing highly available and secure Web solutions.
• You will be delivering software to specification and on-schedule.
• Your role will play a vital part in the team meaning you will have active participation in the capture and refinement of requirements within the company.
• You will develop and test Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
• Participating in Code Reviews and Demos.
• You won’t be alone – our teams work collaboratively and are a friendly bunch.

 

What we need from you…

• You will either have graduated and have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar or have evidenced experience in the required skills.
• Programming skills including demonstrable experience in Java.
• You are a strong communicator - able to collaborate with stakeholders, who may have a less technical background, present your point of view to other team members and can communicate complex ideas.
• Most importantly you will be analytical, technically minded, a problem solver and team player with excellent communication and people skills.
• Awareness of different design patterns such as MVC and MVVM, experience of using version control technologies (eg. Git, SVN), database technologies (eg. SQL Server) and JavaScript are all desirable but not necessities - with fantastic induction and training programmes our teams will set you up for success in your career with CDK!
