About the role:

Keyloop are looking for a talented Field Engineer, ideally based in the Coventry or Leicester area (to service a large client base in this area), who will work directly with Keyloop clients on any technical issues. This is a field-based role so a company car will be provided. Their main offices are in Hungerford and Bristol.

In this role you will be responsible for providing prompt, efficient, professional, and technical engineering skills always ensuring total customer satisfaction. You must always present a professional image and ensure customer queries are handled courteously and efficiently.

You will be visiting dealerships and automotive manufacturers across the UK, as well as training in various locations so you must be confident travelling across the UK. Flexibility will be important as you may be requested to attend internal meetings or work outside of normal hours or to, on occasion, undertake overtime and standby duties when required. There may also be a requirement for overnight stays, depending on the location and work to be completed.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure team and individual performance is maintained, adhering to Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • To ensure all tasks are carried out in a prompt and efficient manner in accordance with company and department procedures.
  • To escalate all customer complaints and engineering problems
  • To undertake the installation of new equipment and liaise with the relevant Departments to resolve any on-site issues.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the business working procedures with the ability to resolve on-site problems in a logical manner.
  • Have the ability to undertake the role using your own initiative or as working as part of a team.
  • To assist in other engineering activities when requested, including vetting of service calls Preventative Maintenance and ORM calls.
  • Ensure customers are kept well informed regarding the progress of service calls.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure any customer issues are resolved expediently.

 

What we are looking for: 

We're looking for someone who has strong customer awareness and ideally knowledge of the automotive industry. This is a crucial phase for the company, so we are looking for dynamism, strong input, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a technical support role, ideally field based.

You'll be analytical with the ability to problem-solve and confident in delivering your message. You will be innovative and creative in developing solutions for customers to ensure the root cause is addressed. You will be able to effectively manage and organise your workload to plan and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously. 

In addition, you will have a continued your education with formal qualifications in technical support, have a good working knowledge of PC’s, printers, communication equipment and Cisco routers. You will have networking experience and be up to date with Microsoft products.

You must have a clean driving license.
